The rowing section at Tudor Sailing Club was established in 2016 with the acquisition of its first Bursledon gig, ‘Rosie,’ and has experienced significant growth since its inception. Starting with a small group of enthusiasts, the section now boasts a fleet of three club-owned and seven privately owned Bursledon gigs, providing ample opportunities for rowing activities. Participating in local fixed-seat rowing competitions over the years, the rowing section showcased its talent, gaining recognition within the rowing community. Building on their success, Tudor Sailing Club launched its own rowing competition, ‘The Tudor Challenge,’ in 2022, which proved to be a resounding success and has now become a highlight in the annual rowing calendar..
